Manufacturing Engineering Manager

We are looking to hire a highly skilled Engineering Lead for Safran Aircraft Engines Private

Limited based in India, Hyderabad.

This position entails managing the engineering team, fulfilling individual responsibilities

regarding CAM programming, process engineering, or special processes to support production

objectives. Your mission will be to lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring product

quality through effective programming and process control, as well as driving engineering related improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

-Team Management: Manage and develop the engineering team, ensuring they have the

necessary competencies, engaging necessary actions or trainings when needed.

-Product Quality: Ensure product quality through effective programming and process control.

-Process Improvement: Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities in quality, process

improvement, machine availability, and consumables by using lean techniques and value

engineering.

-Operational Performance: Create and implement production strategies, processes,

procedures, and instructions to improve operational performance.

-Engineering Solutions: Implement engineering tracking and quality control systems, analyze

production, quality, and maintenance reports to detect and solve production problems.

--Workshop Coaching: Coach the team in manufacturing standards, best practices,

participative innovation, and continuous improvement, encouraging the sharing of ideas.

-- Health & Safety: Manage safety and risks within the engineering team.

Additional description

• Experience in systems like SAP, Dassault Systems, Manufacturing 4.0 and BI tools is highly valued. You will develop and implement policies and processes to ensure efficiency, quality control, and cost reduction. Key tasks include documenting technical processes, preparing process qualifications, supporting audits, and problem-solving.
• This role is pivotal in collaborating with product managers, production engineers, quality teams, and the supply chain to ensure a seamless production flow and high-quality outputs. Your background in mechanical or industrial engineering and proficiency in communication and problem-solving will be essential for success.

Candidate skills & requirements

• Degree in mechanical/industrial engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Expertise in machining, special processes, and aerospace standards (AS9100).
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in SAP, Dassault System,, 4.0, BI tools, continuous improvement (PDCA, 8D, SPC, lean).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Experience in process audits and qualifications.
