Position overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Head to lead our new
engineering equipment division. The Manufacturing Head will be instrumental in
developing and executing manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals. This
role requires ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining superior product quality,
and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Manufacturing Strategies:
• Develop strategic plans aligned with company objectives to drive growth and
profitability.
• Implement initiatives to optimize production processes and enhance operational
efficiency.
Oversee Day-to-Day Operations:
• Manage production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely
product delivery.
• Monitor manufacturing operations to uphold production schedules and maintain high
quality standards.
Ensure Efficiency and Productivity:
• Monitor production metrics and implement measures to enhance efficiency and
productivity.
• Identify root causes of inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Implement Quality Control Measures:
• Establish and enforce quality control standards to exceed customer expectations and
industry benchmarks.
• Cultivate a culture of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and other departments to
streamline processes and resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination across departments.

Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to optimize workflows.
Team Management and Development:
• Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and manage performance of manufacturing staff.
Alignment with Business Goals:
• Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align manufacturing
activities with sales forecasts, demand planning, and budgetary constraints.
• Support new product introductions and ensure smooth transition from prototype to
production.
Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality
management systems (e.g., ISO certifications).
• Implement and maintain safe working practices and environmental regulations.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
• Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in
manufacturing.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies or methodologies to improve
manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related
field. Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 18+ years of progressive experience in heavy machinery management, with
at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and
regulatory standards.
• Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles and
driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
effectively.
• Experience in roter machine development will be an added advantage.
