CommScope is looking to add a Planner to work with our team based in Goa, India . This role will participate in the development and management of material planning and demand planning activities. This candidate will balance contending objectives to improve customer service and revenue, reduce supply chain costs, and optimize working capital.
How Youll Help Us Connect the World:
Activities that ensure the correct and smooth movement of the inventory within production floor and the yard, supporting manufacturing process to complete Customer orders more efficiently.
Participate and contribute to S&OP process in collaboration with PLM and Operations.
Build, maintain, and communicate long-term demand forecast, build, and allocate capacity to Contract Manufacturers and Operations.
Collaborate with the following cross-functional teams to identify revenue opportunities from start to completion: Supply Planning, Distribution Planning, Operations, Contract Manufacturers, Product Line Management, Customer Services, Sales, Procurement, and Finance
Analyze and agree to inventory targets at a global and plant level
Partner with Engineering/Sales and PLM to support speed-to-market initiatives for NPI activities.
Lead excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory management activities
Build reports related to forecast/inventory and operations relevant to current business requirements.
Creates schedules for production areas (master production schedule) and suppliers (MRP call-off purchase orders), to match actual customer demand, ensuring that material and production resources are effectively used. Re-analyzing and adjusting schedules as necessary to ensure the optimal flow of work in the production areas with consideration for customer needs, manufacturing capabilities, and material and manpower constraints.
Identifies changes in capacity or material availability to sales. Elevates issues to management which negatively impacts the MPS, and hence availability to customer
Responsible for applying best material availability dates to Sales Orders and Quotations by analyzing the Bill of Material and Plant Capacity.
Expedite supplier materials to meet master schedule needs, Liaising with Shipping Agents regarding imports of Air and Ocean Freight, providing VAT Deferment Authorization, delivery schedules and requests.
Liaise with counterparts at other client locations to establish global inventory strategies, reducing response time to customers who require high value/low usage components within a short lead times.
Release works orders from Master Production Schedule to various productions to ensure product availability in line with customer orders.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Diploma/ Bachelor s degree in engineering with preferably 3+ years of relevant working experience.
Prior experience in material planning/demand planning is required.
Experience in SAP (MM) module.
Experience in MS Excel.
preferably having experience of working directly with vendors and planners at sister facilities to acquire parts to meet needs.
