Role & responsibilities

Location will be Kandivali

• Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Review the Costing records
• Review and analyse financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results.
• Prepare the MIS on monthly basis
• Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out reconciliation procedures
• Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to company's executives and senior management
• Develop recommendations to optimize company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies
• Support and consult company's personnel on accounting control procedures
• Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers٫ plan their work and assign tasks
• Take part in forecasting and financial standards setting processes
• Participate in departments goal setting activities and month-end and year-end close processes
• Organize financial statements and budget preparation٫ accurately and timely
• Support and oversee tax audits, internal audit and statutory audit and tax returns
• Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
• Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements. Knowledge of Ind AS shall be an added advantage.
• Work together with financial and accounting managers to optimize financial operations
• Coordinate, assist and plan with CFO to achieve the financial goals of the Management

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ years' experience of working as an Accounting Supervisor٫ Chief or Senior Accountant at any public listed company
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting required (Masters preferred). Professional Degrees may be as an added advantage.
• Profound experience with typical accounting procedures
• Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Good practical experience with accounting software packages such as SAP B1
• Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and supervise up to ten junior-level subordinates
• Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends
• Good understanding of MS Office٫ especially Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills٫ with accuracy and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
• Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
