About The Role
The Manager - Category Management for Fruits & Vegetables will be responsible for developing and driving the category strategy to maximize growth and profitability.

Specifically, You Will Be Responsible To

• Develop and execute the F&V category strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for category expansion.
• Manage the P&L for the Fruits & Vegetables category, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Monitor and drive improvements in category profitability through effective pricing, promotion, and cost management.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2 category management professionals.
• Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support team development.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate terms, manage contracts, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of products.
• Develop and execute category plans that enhance the product assortment, drive customer satisfaction, and increase market share.
• Oversee product lifecycle management, from introduction to discontinuation.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align category strategies with overall business goals.
• Ensure effective execution of category plans across all channels.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess category performance.
• Implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
