Role Summary:
The Head of Communications will be responsible for developing and executing the company's communication strategy, managing media relations, overseeing social media presence, and ensuring effective internal and external messaging. The role demands a strong leader with expertise in corporate communications, press releases, media agency collaboration, product launches, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Communication & PR:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy aligned with business goals.
- Manage media relations, press releases, and corporate announcements to enhance brand reputation.
- Serve as the company's spokesperson for key communications.
- Coordinate with media agencies for PR campaigns, interviews, and brand-building initiatives.
Media & Public Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media houses, and influencers.
- Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and product launch campaigns.
- Monitor industry trends and ensure effective positioning in the market.
New Product Releases & Marketing Communications:
- Develop messaging and communication strategies for product launches.
- Work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure consistent storytelling.
- Lead the development of creative content, including videos, articles, and brand narratives.
Social Media & Digital Communications:
- Oversee social media strategy, ensuring engagement and brand consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with digital marketing teams for content planning, influencer collaborations, and online reputation management.
- Track key metrics and optimize communication strategies accordingly.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 communication professionals.
- Provide strategic direction, ensure smooth execution of campaigns, and maintain high team performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive a unified brand voice.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 12+ years in corporate communications, public relations, or brand communications, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Education: MBA/PG in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- Strong media relations with experience in handling press, media agencies, and influencer engagement.
- Expertise in social media strategy, digital communications, and content marketing.
- Proven track record of managing new product launches from a communication standpoint.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Leadership experience in managing communication teams and external agencies.
- Crisis communication and reputation management expertise is a plus.
