Job Description:
MarketStar is hiring a Sales Development Representative to represent our Marketing client, a world-class business marketing tool in the Australia New Zealand market. If you are passionate about the channel, cutting edge and emerging technology, and are ready to join a successful and fast-growing sales program at MarketStar, we have a great opportunity for you.

Your responsibility will be to create a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities that can contribute to the Mailchimp s partner growth and success. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in building the brand, creating a great first impression and building momentum for our client to onboard a new partner.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create sales-qualified opportunities by engaging with prospected partners/agencies, showcasing how Mailchimp s partner program in the Australia New Zealand marketplace.
  • Source opportunities on your own initiative as well as from qualified lead lists.
  • Qualify and handover sales ready opportunities to Partner Development Managers.
  • Create lasting and beneficial relationships with Mailchimp stakeholders.
  • Adherence to daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Engage with prospective customers by phone, email LinkedIn.
  • Achieve established goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a product and service advocate for the client, building interest and awareness of the client s value proposition and assessing mutual fit.
  • Learn quickly and maintain current, comprehensive knowledge of clients products and services.


Skills Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of business development experience in a B2B international sales role preferred.
  • Fluent English Speaker.
  • Strong desire for a career in sales.
  • High confidence and ability to quickly build trust within the first call, with strong soft skills to drive impact on the spot.
  • Exceptional listening skills combined with the ability to synthesize information.
  • Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to details and follow-through.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Salesforce experience preferred but not essential.
  • Constantly strives to improve, proactively seeking coaching and guidance from peers and managers.
  • Highly collaborative and highly organized individual.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
