Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Fixed Asset Accountant to support our financial accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls. This role will be instrumental in managing fixed asset accounting and working with cross-functional teams to support growth and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact
Maintain and manage fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation calculations.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP for fixed asset capitalization and impairment testing.
Prepare and review fixed asset account reconciliations in Blackline and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
Collaborate with the FPA, Tax, and Procurement teams to optimize asset tracking and reporting.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fixed asset accounting.
Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control procedures related to fixed assets.
Qualifications
Your Experience
Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting within a large US MNC environment.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fixed asset accounting, and lease accounting.
Experience with SAP (or other large ERP systems) is a plus.
Proficiency with Blackline for account reconciliations is preferred.
Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
