Exploring the role:
The role focuses on Strategic Workforce Planning and Resource Optimization, collaborating with the VP of HR to design workforce strategies and manage talent initiatives. It involves participation in annual budget planning, productivity management, and leading discussions on workforce optimization. Key responsibilities also include Compensation and Benefits management, such as competitive benchmarking, salary adjustments, and forecasting compensation budgets.
Additionally, the role requires managing HR Reporting, including creating HR MIS, attrition reports, and dashboards, as well as overseeing HR Operations and Systems like payroll, legal compliance, employee benefits, and lifecycle management. The position also emphasizes Continuous Improvement by analyzing performance against forecasts, identifying gaps, and implementing process improvements.
How your day will look like/Job responsibility:
Strategic Workforce Planning and Resource Optimization:
- Collaborating with VP HR: Working closely with the VP of HR to plan and design workforce strategies, develop talent management initiatives, and implement organizational development programs.
- Annual Budgetary Exercises: Participating in budget planning from a demand and supply perspective.
- Productivity Management: Initiating and managing projects to optimize resource utilization.
- Identify the right tool to measure
- Workforce Optimization Discussions: Leading discussions to identify opportunities for workforce optimization.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Benchmarking: Analyzing industry standards to ensure competitive salary structures.
- Budget Simulations: Creating financial models to forecast compensation budgets.
- Determining and Implementing Annual Salary Adjustments (PMS Management): Establishing and executing the yearly salary increase plans across different regions, ensuring alignment with budget constraints and market competitiveness.
HR Reporting:
- Monthly HR MIS/Dashboards: Preparing monthly management information system reports and dashboards.
- Attrition Reports and Analysis: Generating and analyzing reports on employee turnover.
HR Operations and Systems:
- Monthly Payroll: Managing monthly payroll processes.
- Legal Compliances: Ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs.
Onboarding and Exits: Managing the processes for new hires and employee exits.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to retirement.
- Managing HR Systems (Darwin, ADP, etc.): Overseeing the use and maintenance of HR systems for efficient operations.
- Governance, Upkeep, and Compliance: Ensuring governance and upkeep of HR policies and procedures, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating HR-related risks.
- Data Privacy and Security: Ensuring the protection of employee data and adherence to privacy laws.
Continuous Improvement:
- Comparing Results to Forecasts: Analyzing performance against set benchmarks to identify gaps.
- Identifying Improvement Opportunities: Finding and implementing opportunities for improvement.
Education & Work Experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is typically required.
- 8-15 years of experience working in Workforce Management, HR Analytics.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of HR metrics and experience in preparing HR MIS reports, dashboards, and attrition analysis.
- Ability to use data-driven insights to assess HR performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Knowledge of HR operations, including payroll management, legal compliance, employee benefits administration, and managing the employee lifecycle (from onboarding to exit).
- Familiarity with HRMS platforms (e.g., Darwin, ADP) and their applications in streamlining HR processes.
- Understanding of data privacy laws and ensuring data security in HR operations.
Skills:
- Good analytical skills, communication skills, collaborative attitude
- Basic experience and understanding of HR operations, india payroll, India legal compliances pertaining to labour laws
- Some prior experience of having worked on a HRMS system
- Very good MS excel skills, MS powerpoint/Canva presentation making ability
- Ability to automate MS Excel reports and use AI tools
