Job Description:
The Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for contracting and closing local catering and social business and ensuring that business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery. The position is responsible for achieving catering revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue. The incumbent implements the brands service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Event Planning and Coordination: Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, from initial client inquiries to post-event follow-up.
• Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with clients is essential for repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
• Market Research and Analysis: To effectively sell banquet and event spaces, and should be able to manage Banquet Sales Executives and must stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices.
• Financial Management: Managing the budget for each event is crucial to ensure profitability and cost control.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of service and guest satisfaction is paramount in the hospitality industry. Need to follow up with Banquet executives to monitor events closely, addressing any issues that arise promptly and proactively seeking feedback from clients and guests to continuously improve the overall experience.
• Networking and Relationship Building: Building a strong network of industry contacts is essential for Banquet General Manager to generate leads and referrals.
• Contract Negotiation: Banquet Sales general Manager should be able negotiate contracts with clients, including pricing, terms and conditions, and event details. They ensure that contracts are legally sound, accurately reflect the client's needs and expectations, and protect the interests of the venue.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and vendors
• Fluent in English
• Must have soft skills
• 6 12 years Proven experience in Banquet Sales or Event Planning and Management
• Sales skills to drive revenue growth and build relationships with clients
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
