Job Description
AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITIY
Participates inthe development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel whichare aligned with Radisson s overall mission, vision values and strategies
Develops and implements strategies for achievingindividual catering sales goals
Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategiesas appropriate
Achievescatering sales goals by developing and implementing sales strategies
Identifies potential key accounts (banquet andgroup) and develops strategies to prioritize and penetrate those accounts
Makes outside sales calls to prospectivecatering customers
Clarifies customer requirements and suggestsalternative menus, themes, etc.
Prepares proposals for client which outlinedetails of proposed functions; coordinates preparation of estimates with foodand beverage and other departments if needed
Negotiates sale of catering sales functions
Conducts on-site client inspections toillustrate available services, know meeting and sleeping room set-ups andcapabilities
Monitors customer satisfaction with cateringbusiness; follows-up with key contacts on a regular basis to assesssatisfaction
Ensure all materials used are in accordance withbrand standards
Maintainsproper flow of information to sales team, reviews work file of assignedaccounts
Communicates clients requests to alldepartments in an effective and timely manner
Works with sales team for additional businessopportunities as appropriate
Assists in reviewing the function book andconducts evaluation of releasing or finalizing functions
Creates 100%guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performancethat demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guestexpectations
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibilityand uses teamwork when providing guest service
Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds asolution and follows through when resolving guest problems
Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality andteamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes the responsibility to notice when theguest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it isappropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performs other duties required to provide theservice brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Adheres tohotel policies and procedures
Keeps immediate Manager promptly and fullyinformed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
Maintains a high standard of personal groomingat all times in order to represent the Hotel in the best possible manner,reflecting the public role of the position
Develops and participates in Hotel promotions asrequired
Be familiar with objectives, strategies, actionplans and other marketing related information contained within the Hotel annualbusiness plan.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in atimely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies andprocedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
Maintains a favorable working relationship withall other hotel employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmoniousworking environment
At all times projects a favorable image of theHotel to the public
