Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage technical requirements during bidding phase with clear objectives, timelines, and success metrics together with the Bid Proposal Management team
- Gather technical needs of HVDC projects and translate them into clear, verifiable system requirements.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct detailed technical analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation (RFQ- request for quote document) to identify key requirements and potential challenges.
- Technical Specification: Lead the team to study the SLD and prepare high-level technical specification for all the equipmentavailable in the SLD. (This Technical Specification will be submitted to vendors to get Budgetary Quotes) (IEC, IEEE, end-user Technical Specification will be referred to prepare the Equipment Technical Specifications)
- Allocate system requirements across subsystems, and relevant requirement owners
- Technical Bid Preparation: Oversee and drive the preparation of technical proposals for HVDC system projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards (Utility/end-user specific standards)
- Deliver bids for HVDC projects, ensure the processes, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Respond to vendor queries related to the Technical Specification prepared for each of the HVDC Equipment
- Implement and uphold relevant standards ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015 [MV1] applicable during lifecycle of the projects
- Monitor progress of tender deliverables and perform continuous follow-up on tender scope and time.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to bid submissions, including technical specifications and compliance matrices
- Plan and communicate the needs of the tender to the HVDC management team
- Ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables
- Manage and ensure effective communication of all relevant data within and across the requirements management database
- Represent HVDC technical team during customer interactions, driving discussions and negotiations.
Your Qualification Background
- Bachelordegree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Automation and Control Engineering or a similar
- 10+ yearsexperience in project management and/or bid management, for HVDC / FACTS / Large-scale Wind Farms / HV Substation projects
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVDC technology, electrical systems, and power transmission. (Only Knowledge of HVDC system will also work)
- HVDC Equipment: Knowledge or understanding of all the HVDC equipment
- Grid Code: Knowledge Understanding of UK Grid Code European Grid Code.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, with hands-on involvement in Requirements Management
- 5+ Years experience in project management and bid management .
- You are comfortable meeting customers and participating in technical negotiations to support your team if needed.
- Proven track record of successfully managing requirements of large-scale power projects
- This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures to effectively engage and work with cross-functional teams
- Proficient and fluent in English, as you will be part of an international setting and need to communicate with people from all over the world. German language proficiency is good to have.
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team environment.
- Willing to travel as required.
- High level of integrity and accountability with a results-driven mindset
