Lead Software Engineer(Backend)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to oversee backend development for our . NET Framework 4. 8 to . NET Core 8. 0 Migration Project . This position requires deep expertise in WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) and transition from legacy . NET Framework to modern . NET Core 8. 0 for large enterprise application. The Lead Engineer will guide the backend team to deliver highly scalable, and secure services while leading the migration efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the migration of backend legacy applications and components from . NET Framework 4. 8 to . NET Core 8. 0.
• Redesign and optimize the existing applications from . NET Core compatibility, ensuring performance and usability.
• Modernize and migrate WCF services to compatible framework or alternatives such as gRPC .
• Analyze existing code base and dependencies, resolve compatibility issues, and implement modern standards and best practices.
• Define and implement a clear data migration strategy, ensuring data consistency, security, and integrity throughout the process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and DevOps, to ensure smooth development and deployment.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the migrated applications.
• Document system architecture, migration steps, and technical processes to assist team members and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in backend development with solid expertise in . NET Framework 4. 8 , . NET Core 8. 0, WCF and gRPC.
• In depth experience working with WCF services and migrations from WCF to gRPC in . NET Core
• Expertise in designing and managing service-oriented architectures, transitioning from monolithic application to microservices.
• Deep knowledge of building and scaling microservices and working with RESTful APIs in modern development environment.
• Expertise with Git and knowledge of branching, merging, and the release management.
• Expertise in migrating . NET Framework applications to . NET Core .
• Proficiency in C#, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ .
• Familiarity with design patterns, SOLID principles, and best practices in software architecture
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
