Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager with a Banking/trade finance and Financial Services background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex bids and proposals in a competitive environment, with a deep understanding of the financial services sector. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end bid process, ensuring that all proposals are compelling, compliant, and aligned with the companys strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bid Management:
• Lead the bid process from initial opportunity identification to final submission, including bid planning, strategy development, and content creation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as sales, solution consultants, products, delivery, legal, finance, operations, and technical teams to gather necessary inputs and ensure bid alignment with client requirements.
• Develop and manage bid project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines and high-quality outputs.
• Facilitate bid/no-bid discussions and decisions, assessing risks, resources, and strategic fit.
• Proposal Development:
• Prepare and review compelling, accurate, and compliant proposals that clearly articulate the companys value proposition.
• Tailor proposals and presentations according to client specifications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and relevance.
• Lead content generation efforts, incorporating insights and case studies from previous successful projects.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the bid process, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or queries.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless bid execution.
• Risk Management & Compliance:
• Identify and assess risks associated with the bid and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all proposals comply with internal governance, quality standards, and industry regulations.
• Market Analysis & Strategy:
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform bid strategies.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and competitive differentiators.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Implement best practices and lessons learned to optimize the bid process and improve win rates.
• Maintain a library of bid documents, templates, and knowledge resources for future use.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
• 8-10 years of experience in bid management, proposal writing, or sales operations, preferably within the Banking & Financial Services industry.
• Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory landscape.
• Experience working with complex RFPs/RFIs and managing multiple bids simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and bid management tools.
