Company Overview:
GalaxEye is an Indian headquartered space tech startup and first Indian HQ startup to send the Satellite in orbit soon. GalaxEye is building the worlds first multi-sensor imaging satellite, The Drishti Mission. These indigenously built satellites will enable governments, defence, and industries to perform advanced state-of-the-art geospatial analyses.
GalaxEyes Drishti mission has a unique multi-sensor capability that brings intuitive all-time, all-weather imagery from space, even during night time and cloud cover. The Drishti Mission is currently in progress and is scheduled to launch into space. Access to our image dataset will prove to be user-friendly for analysts and consumers, unlocking a plethora of opportunities and benefits, both known and unknown in the current scenario.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bid Manager to oversee and manage the entire bid lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with government tender portals, including GeM (Government e-Marketplace) and other announcement platforms, as well as familiarity with the geospatial and Earth Observation (EO), Defence industry, which will be considered a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive submissions.
- Develop and execute strategic bid plans tailored to client needs and organizational goals.
2. Government Portal Expertise
- Utilize extensive experience in working with GeM and other government tender platforms to identify and respond to relevant opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and guidelines.
3. Industry Expertise
- Leverage knowledge of the geospatial, EO and defence industry to craft targeted proposals that align with client requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and competitive insights to strengthen proposal strategies.
4. Proposal Development
- Analyze tender documents (RFPs/RFIs) to identify deliverables, risks, and evaluation criteria.
- Draft high-quality, persuasive proposals with a strong value proposition and competitive pricing.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technical, legal, finance, and sales, to gather inputs and ensure alignment.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication among internal and external stakeholders.
6. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify potential risks in the bid process and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all submissions comply with legal, regulatory, commercial, and technical requirements.
7. Process Optimization and Knowledge Management
- Maintain and enhance bid documentation, templates, and knowledge repositories.
- Continuously improve bid processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements- Masterdegree in Business Administration, Management, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in bid/proposal management, with a strong focus on government tenders and portals like GeM.
- Experience in the geospatial or EO industry is highly desirable.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and proposal management tools.
- Familiarity with government procurement policies and industry-specific regulations.
