Job Description

As the Structures Intern, you will be responsible for structural design and involved in our assembly, integration and test processes for our next generation of satellites. You will also interact with the manufacturing personnel and supply chain teams to execute and deliver manufactured parts.
Responsibilities:

Develop mechanical and electrical equipment and fixtures to aid with assembly, integration and testing.

Design using the concepts of DFMA and generate BOM for easy interpretation of manufacturing team.

Design and analyse various deployment mechanisms to be used in space

Analysis of the structures for the vibrational, Acoustic and thermal environments.

Requirements

Experience with mechanical design and simulation software like ANSYS, Catia, solid works

Very strong 3D Design skills to develop tooling and fixturing to interface with spacecraft, and to extract useful views for use in work instructions.

Must have exposure to DFMA methodology of design thinking.

Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration, and test

Good communications skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
