Job Overview:

seeking a dedicated and experienced Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator to lead and support the delivery of the MYP curriculum. The ideal candidate will have undergone IB accreditation or completed a 5-year review process, ensuring a deep understanding of IB standards and practices. The MYP Coordinator will work closely with teachers, students, and administration to foster an inquiry-based learning environment, ensuring the seamless implementation of the MYP framework in accordance with IB guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Curriculum Management:
  
• Lead the planning, implementation, and review of the MYP curriculum.
• Ensure the MYP curriculum is aligned with the IB framework and school objectives.
• Promote the IB philosophy and values, encouraging inquiry-based learning and intercultural understanding.
• Accreditation & Evaluation:
  
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the accreditation and review processes for IB programs.
• Lead and support the schools participation in the IB’s accreditation or 5-year review cycles, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Prepare reports and documentation for accreditation and review visits.
• Faculty Support and Professional Development:
  
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for MYP teachers.
• Facilitate regular collaboration and reflection among teachers to ensure best practices in MYP teaching and assessment.
• Foster an environment that supports continuous professional growth for the MYP teaching team.
• Student Support and Engagement:
  
• Support the development of an inclusive and student-centered learning environment.
• Collaborate with the Student Support Services team to ensure that students' diverse needs are met.
• Monitor student progress and well-being, providing timely feedback to ensure academic success.
• Assessment and Reporting:
  
• Oversee the assessment and reporting process, ensuring it adheres to IB standards.
• Analyze student performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing detailed reports on student progress.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with the school leadership team to ensure the MYP is integrated into the wider school vision.
• Engage with parents, students, and external stakeholders to build understanding and support for the MYP program.
• Organize and lead information sessions, workshops, and events related to MYP.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master's degree in Education or International Education is preferred.
• Experience:
  
• Proven experience as a trained MYP Coordinator, with a strong background in teaching the MYP curriculum.
• Completion of an IB MYP accreditation or 5-year review process.
• Experience in leadership, curriculum design, and teacher development in an international or IB school setting.
• Certifications:
  
• IB MYP Coordinator Training or a similar recognized IB qualification.
• Additional IB-related certifications (e.g., MYP workshop leader or examiner) are highly regarded.
