Tech Policy experience along with AI/ML experience is a must.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to national and international AI standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI usage.
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineers, data scientists, product managers) to integrate AI governance principles into project development and deployment processes.
• Effectively communicate complex AI governance issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead capacity-building initiatives focused on emerging technologies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of AI policies and recommend necessary adjustments.

Mandatory Skill Sets:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in emerging technologies or AI, with at least 2 years focused on developing and implementing policy frameworks, particularly in technology and data protection.
• Strong understanding of emerging technology principles, strategies and trends.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a creative and strategic approach to challenges.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations related to emerging technologies in India.

Preferred Skill Sets:

• Experience in public policy development, strategic planning and government scheme design.
• Prior experience in a consulting role working with government agencies.
