About the client:
PSS
has been mandated to hire a
Head - Wood Adhesive R&D
for one of the leading innovation-first companies, leading the field of adhesives and coating additive manufacturers.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading the R&D efforts in adhesive technology, driving innovation, and developing new products to meet market demands. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in adhesive chemistry, and a proven track record of successful product development within the adhesive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Educational Qualifications And Experience:

- Apply technical domain knowledge for the development of new products as identified by market insights, in close coordination with the Marketing/Sales Teams.
- Synthesis, Formulation & Testing of Emulsions for Adhesives especially Wood Working Glues.
- Coordinating with the Plant for Pilot Trials & Production related activities.
- Cost Reduction / Product Improvement
- Design and monitor progress on application & testing of new products and modifications/enhancements of existing products.
- Establish procedures and processes aligned with ISO-certified standards.
- Partner with plant personnel for the successful scale-up of new products to be introduced in the designated markets
- Provide support and inputs for the maintenance of lab records and related documents in digitized form.
- In partnership with the process engineering team, prepare the operating procedure and recipe in standard format for issuing to the plant.
- Identify and document hazards associated with Raw Materials, Processes, and Experimental & Finished Products.
- Masters/Ph. D/MTech from the reputed Institute in Polymer Chemistry
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant research experience
- Proficiency in using digitized operations.
- Ability to think creatively and translate innovative ideas through execution
