Job Description
- Develop manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products
- Monitor and test processes and products found in all phases of production
- Develop and implement safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
- Design, plan and implement the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
- Establish safety and waste management procedures
- Travel to work sites and locations to learn about project needs and design
- Assist with establishing budgets and timelines
- Designing, proposing, implementing, reviewing and correcting plans to ensure company goals are achieved
- Observing production processes, conducting research and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality
- Using scientific, mathematical and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes
- Evaluating equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Troubleshooting problems in manufacturing processes
- Recommending new installations or modifications in the plant processes / equipment to improve operational efficiency
- Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Chemical Process Engineer
- Ability to cooperate and communicate with others, especially those without a technical background
- Exceptional problem solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and project management skills
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Chemical Engineer
- Applied knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
- Direct experience with the use of spreadsheet and database software to compile, analyze, and present data
- Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
Educational Qualifications:
- B.Tech / M.Tech Degree in chemical engineering.
- Min 10 years of experience in a Process Engineering / Technical Services
- Project management experience.
