Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based platform infrastructure. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure seamless integration of our applications with the underlying infrastructure. Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain cloud-based platform infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager

Develop and maintain automation scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with the underlying infrastructure

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and security tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and AWS IAM

Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues using problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our platform

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our platform

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on cloud computing and automation

Strong knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager)

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, C#, etc)

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Ansible)

Strong understanding of DevOps practices and principles

Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions)

Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc)

Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
