Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Performance Engineer to join our team. As a Site Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our website and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize system architecture, and develop strategies to improve user experience.

Responsibilities:

Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize website and application performance using tools such as WebPageTest, Lighthouse, and New Relic.

System Architecture: Design and implement scalable system architectures to support high traffic and large datasets.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve performance issues using log analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.

Collaboration: Work with development teams to implement performance improvements and ensure adherence to performance best practices.

Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain performance monitoring and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Testing and Validation: Develop and execute performance tests to validate improvements and identify areas for further optimization.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in a performance engineering or similar role.

Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques, including caching, compression, and content delivery networks (CDNs).

Experience with performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or AppDynamics.

Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
