Training and developing staff in the Supply department in correct purchasing procedures through the current inventory programmers of IAS and RAAS.
Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws
Responsible for the acceptance, processing, and completion of all requisition in accordance with policies and procedures.
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
Giving leadership and direction to the application of safety and quality management principles and practices in the procurement, storage, handling and supply of technical materials
Provide oversight and guidance for the aviation procurement division in the promotion of just in time principals in procurement and supply chain management of parts
Ensure Min/Max levels stated within aviation maintenance systems are optimized and set in accordance with Maintenance forecasts and fleet expansion milestones, whilst also considering needs to offset unscheduled maintenance events
Build strong working relationship with the CAMG rotable planning team
Drive and champion the digital automation of parts and service allocation to MRO workflow through the PPC division.
Responsible for the tracking and management of aircraft spares.
Responsible for stock control of aircraft spares
Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
Update Management on critical items with acceptable solutions
Analyze reports and provide strategic view point
Provide data cleansing support in IAS and RAAS.
Provide coverage on AOG items
Able to efficiently solve problems relating to sales, finance and transportation of goods in locations both national and overseas.
Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers
Developing and implementing KPIs as a mean of monitoring the department performance and responses on matters such as component availability, weekly AOG analysis and open orders
Any other Ad-hoc task assigned by GM-MRO
Preferred candidate profile
Experience in the aviation industry with Aviation Qualification an added advantage;
10 + years in managing high value inventory;
10 + years of managerial exposure to part contracts and supply chain partnerships;
Experience in Logistic clearance and export and Import protocols;
Extensive knowledge in computer inventory systems. IAS and RAAS;
Must be fluent in written and spoken English;
Current drivers licence;
Working knowledge of MS Office. (Excel, Word and Outlook);
