Job Description:
Title: PMO- Supply Chain
Location: Pune
Duration: Contract to hire
Job Overview:
- Seeking for a highly organized and proactive IT Supply Chain Project Management Officer (PMO) to join our team.
- The PMO will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT Supply Chain-related projects across the organization.
- This role requires a deep understanding of both IT supply chain processes and project management methodologies, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, supply chain operations, and IT systems integration.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans for IT Supply Chain initiatives, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee the execution of multiple concurrent IT Supply Chain projects, ensuring that all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet predefined objectives.
- Manage cross-functional teams to drive the execution of projects, including IT, procurement, supply chain, and business units.
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor project progress by tracking milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
- Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, issues, and next steps.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk logs, and issue trackers, ensuring that all project activities are welldocumented and accessible.
Risk Management:
- Proactively identify project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Facilitate risk management sessions with stakeholders, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and addressed promptly.
- Escalate critical issues to senior management and stakeholders as required, providing recommendations for solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate communication between various departments, ensuring alignment between IT, procurement, operations, and business teams.
- Provide regular updates and briefings to leadership on the status of key projects within the IT supply chain portfolio.
Resource & Budget Management:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to allocate necessary resources (staff, equipment, tools, etc. ) for project execution.
- Oversee the project budget, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints and cost estimates.
- Report on project financials, tracking expenditures and forecasting future resource needs.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Assess existing IT supply chain processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Work closely with the team to implement new project management methodologies, tools, and techniques that streamline operations and drive successful project delivery.
- Lead post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and integrate improvements into future project planning.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure that IT Supply Chain projects comply with internal standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Work with quality assurance teams to define project quality metrics and ensure that deliverables meet required standards.
- Ensure adherence to organizational and legal compliance frameworks throughout the project lifecycle.
Change Management:
- Assist with the management of change within the IT Supply Chain function, ensuring that all changes are communicated, understood, and implemented effectively across relevant teams.
- Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during system integrations or process updates.
Experience & Education:
Mandatory:
- Total experience we are looking for in years: 10+ yrs
- Relevant experience we are looking for in years: 7+ yrs
- Min. education needed: Bachelors degree in IT or relevant
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on IT supply chain, IT operations, or related fields.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional IT projects, including integration of IT systems with supply chain functions.
- Familiarity with IT supply chain tools, systems (e. ServiceNow, Coupa), and related business processes (procurement, asset management, etc.
Knowledge, Skill, ability:
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Tools/Technologies:
- Proficiency with project management tools (e., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Experience using IT supply chain systems (e., ERP platforms, IT Asset Management tools).
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations
