Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Accounts department in Sanand.
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional with a strong accounting background, proven team leadership skills, and experience in handling audits and financial reporting.
- This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage a small team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance Sheet Finalization & Audit: Lead the process of balance sheet finalization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, including tax audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing any audit findings.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of 4-5 accounting professionals.
- Delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance and support, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting operations, including reviewing and verifying journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss statements and other financial reports.
- Conduct ledger scrutiny to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Develop and deliver timely and accurate MIS reports to management, providing insights into financial performance.
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrate strong proficiency in Tally accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis, report generation, and various MIS reporting requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and tax laws.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in accounting processes.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and other relevant parties.
Qualifications:
Education: M. Com (Master of Commerce) and MBA (Master of Business Administration) are required. CA (Chartered Accountancy Intermediate) is also essential.
- Experience: 6-9 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Proven experience in balance sheet finalization and audit management.
- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Tally accounting software and Microsoft Excel (essential for MIS reporting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
