Parle Global Technologies - Import/Export Role (3-8 yrs)

About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Import/Export to join our team.

- In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods across international borders.

- You will be responsible for managing all aspects of import and export operations, including documentation, logistics, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Import & Export Documentation:

- Prepare and review all necessary import/export documentation, including Bills of Lading, Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other relevant documents.

- Ensure accurate and timely submission of customs declarations and other regulatory filings.

- Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions.

Logistics & Shipping:

- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods.

- Track shipments and resolve any delays or issues that may arise during transit.

- Negotiate freight rates and optimize shipping costs.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export regulations, including customs regulations, foreign exchange regulations (FEMA), and other applicable laws.

- Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations and best practices.

Foreign Exchange Management:

- Manage foreign exchange transactions, including inward and outward remittances, foreign currency bill liquidation, and refund of payments.

- Ensure compliance with FEMA guidelines and RBI Master Directions.

EDPMS & IDPMS:

- Work with and maintain records in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) platforms like EDPMS and IDPMS.

- Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation of import/export data.

Communication & Coordination:

- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and other relevant agencies.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Prepare reports on import/export activities, including shipment status, costs, and key performance indicators.

- Analyze data to identify potential areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Essential:

- 3+ years of experience in import/export operations, international trade, or logistics.

- Hands-on experience with import/export documentation and procedures.

- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, including customs regulations, FEMA guidelines, and RBI Master Directions.

- Experience with EDI platforms like EDPMS and IDPMS.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Preferred:

- Experience in the BFSI domain.

- Knowledge of international trade finance and letters of credit.

- Experience with ERP systems.

- Degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field
