Role & responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis of shipping data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive data reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various data sources.
• Implement data governance processes and standards to maintain data quality.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
• Design and implement business intelligence solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Analyze shipping performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Utilize statistical modelling and machine learning techniques to forecast shipping trends and optimize operations.
• Develop predictive models to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Create clear and visually appealing data visualizations to communicate complex findings effectively.
• Utilize data visualization tools to present insights in a compelling manner.
• Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address data-related challenges.
• Be able to think critically and creatively to find innovative solutions.

- Communication and Collaboration:

• Effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Manage data analysis projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Prioritize tasks and effectively manage resources to meet project deadlines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analysis and technology.

- Trade Development Analysis:

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trade opportunities and assess their potential
• profitability.
• Analyze trade data to understand customer preferences, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
• Provide insights to support the development of new trade routes, services, and customer offerings.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track vessel utilization, trade development, and overall operational efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations to management.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor degree or Equivalent in Computer Science Data Management, MIS, others

• 2-5 years of experience in Data analysis
• Have experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).
• Be familiar with data warehousing and data lake concepts
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
