Hvac Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• As a HVAC Project Engineer, one is tasked with several critical responsibilities that ensure the smooth execution and completion of HVAC projects. These include:
• Designing HVAC systems that meet the requirements of the project while adhering to budgets and timelines.
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and architects to integrate HVAC systems into overall project designs.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of systems and recommending energy-efficient solutions.
• Managing project schedules, resource allocation, and budget to ensure projects are completed within the established parameters.
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to provide updates and gather feedback.
• Education and Certification Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is essential.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license or an EIT (Engineer in Training) certification may be advantageous or required, depending on the employer.
• Additional certifications such as HVAC Excellence Certification or LEED AP could distinguish candidates in the field.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems and proficiency in CAD and HVAC design software is highly desired.
• Strong understanding of current industry regulations, standards, and best practices parameters.
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to provide updates and gather feedback.
