Project description
Our client, a leading real estate firm, is looking to onboard a Vice President - Business Development, to lead their strategic growth initiatives and drive transformative land acquisition projects across India. This leadership role is based in Gurugram, Haryana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead a team of senior professionals nationally to spearhead transformational growth through strategic initiatives, including the acquisition and development of land/projects. Collaborate with external consultants to shape mid- and long-term strategies to enhance stakeholder value.
- Land and Project Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end land acquisition process, from sourcing to development handover. Conduct in-depth financial and regulatory viability analyses, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Partnerships and Alliances: Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners, develop evaluation frameworks, and propose value propositions that align with overall business plans.
- Market Analysis and Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with IPCs, channel partners, and developers while staying updated on market trends and opportunities in North India.
- Transaction Management: Oversee the transaction lifecycle, including opportunity identification, negotiation, commercial terms finalization, and project implementation. Manage documentation such as Term Sheets and Definitive Agreements.
- Joint Ventures and Financial Strategy: Collaborate with funds to structure Joint Ventures (JV), Joint Development (JD), and pre-leased asset acquisitions.
Regulatory Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of all bye-laws, compliance requirements, and processes critical to land acquisition and project development.
Your Background:
- 20-25 years of relevant experience in the real estate sector, with proven expertise in land acquisition and business development.
- A strategic visionary with a demonstrated ability to execute complex projects.
- Executive-level presentation skills with experience handling high-level client and stakeholder interactions.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
