Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Application Support Specialist to join our team in Delhi.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Collection Systems and Loan Management Systems, a strong technical background in Linux, Java, and Oracle, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application-related issues.
This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning and reliability of our applications that support key business processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Application Maintenance & Support :
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Collection Systems and Loan Management Systems.
- Monitor application performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve application issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting :
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to application functionality, performance, and integration.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and provide permanent solutions.
Technical Expertise :
- Work with Linux environments to manage application servers, perform log analysis, and script automation for operational tasks.
- Use Java to debug code and understand application workflows.
- Manage Oracle databases by writing queries, analyzing data, and optimizing database performance.
Collaboration :
- Coordinate with internal development teams, vendors, and stakeholders for bug fixes, patches, and feature enhancements.
- Support business users with training, queries, and troubleshooting.
Documentation & Reporting :
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for issue resolutions, FAQs, and application processes.
- Generate regular reports on application performance, incident resolution, and uptime metrics.
Continuous Improvement :
- Identify areas for process optimization and implement improvements in application support practices.
- Participate in deployment activities, including testing and validation of new releases or patches.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Domain Expertise :
- Hands-on experience working with Collection Systems and Loan Management Systems.
Technical Proficiency :
- Strong working knowledge of Linux: shell scripting, server management, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Java: ability to read, debug, and troubleshoot application code.
- Expertise in Oracle: query writing, data analysis, and database optimization.
Experience :
- A minimum of 4 years in an Application Support role, preferably in financial services or a similar domain.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with business users and technical teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Educational Qualification :
B.Tech/B.in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
- Experience with ticketing systems like JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of middleware technologies (e.g, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat).
- Prior experience in the banking or financial domain
