International Sales Manager/Head, Freight Forwarding

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced International Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

• Identify and target potential international clients through market research and lead generation
• Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer bases
• Prepare and present customized proposals to prospective clients
• Negotiate contracts and close deals with international clients

Sales Team Management

• Lead and motivate a team of international sales representatives
• Set individual sales targets and monitor performance against goals
• Provide coaching and training to sales team members

Market Analysis

• Stay updated on global market trends, competitor analysis, and international trade regulations
• Identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly
• Analyze market data to identify potential areas for growth and expansion

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key international clients
• Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns promptly
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client shipments

Pricing and Quoting

• Develop competitive pricing strategies for international freight forwarding services
• Accurately quote prices based on shipment details

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in international sales, preferably within the freight forwarding industry
• Deep understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics processes
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical skills to identify market trends and develop sales strategies
