Job Description:

Ode Spa is seeking an experienced Operations Head to oversee the daily operations of our Bangalore location. The Operations Head will be responsible for managing staff, implementing operational policies, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate should be organized, a strong leader, and have a proven record in managing spa operations.


Roles and Responsibilities:


1. Staff Management and Leadership

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a diverse team of spa staff, including therapists, front-desk personnel, and support staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set goals for team members to ensure a high standard of service.
  • Foster a positive work environment to motivate and retain staff.

2. Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that all procedures run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and improve operational workflows to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all spa policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.

3. Financial and Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the spa's annual budget, ensuring alignment with revenue and profitability goals.
  • Monitor expenses, manage resources efficiently, and implement cost-control measures as needed.
  • Track financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management.

4. Customer Service and Guest Satisfaction

  • Strive to create a superior guest experience by overseeing service standards and responding to guest feedback.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally to maintain a high level of satisfaction.

5. Inventory and Vendor Management

  • Maintain inventory records for spa products and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships for purchasing products and supplies, negotiating terms as necessary.

6. Policy and Procedure Implementation

  • Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality across all services.
  • Ensure staff adherence to all operational protocols and promote a culture of excellence.

7. Marketing and Promotions

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies that drive new and repeat business.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of promotional activities and adjust strategies to maximize outreach and revenue.

8. Facility Maintenance

  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the spa, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for guests.
  • Work closely with facility staff or external vendors to address maintenance needs promptly.

9. Compliance and Regulatory Standards

  • Ensure the spa adheres to local health, safety, and wellness regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry standards and apply best practices in the spa environment.

10. Reporting and Communication

  • Provide regular updates and reports on operational performance, staff productivity, guest feedback, and financial targets.
  • Maintain open communication with senior management and other departments to align spa goals with the overall business strategy.

Key Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years in a similar role in the spa, wellness, or hospitality industry.

  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proven expertise in budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.
    • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering quality guest experiences.
    • Ability to manage and inspire a diverse team of professionals.

  • Personal Qualities: Passionate about wellness, proactive, results-driven, and adaptable.
