Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Site Engineer to oversee and manage on-site activities for the construction of a world-class spa at Odespa, Hyderabad. The Site Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the project is executed efficiently, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing labor to ensure productivity and safety. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Executive, Project Manager, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Site Supervision
• Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate and monitor the work of subcontractors, vendors, and labor teams.
• Ensure materials and equipment are used efficiently and effectively on-site.
2. Labor Management
• Manage and allocate tasks to labor teams, ensuring optimal productivity.
• Address labor issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure workforce compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of labor attendance, work hours, and task completion.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality aligns with design and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies in construction work.
4. Progress Tracking & Reporting
• Maintain detailed site records, including daily progress reports, material usage, and work schedules.
• Communicate project updates, challenges, and recommendations to the Project Manager and Project Executive.
• Assist in preparing documentation for inspections, approvals, and handover processes.
5. Material & Resource Management
• Oversee the delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials on-site.
• Ensure proper inventory management and avoid wastage.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of required materials.
6. Health & Safety
• Enforce site safety standards and conduct regular safety briefings for the workforce.
• Identify potential safety risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure the availability of necessary safety equipment on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in site engineering, with a focus on high-end construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in using site management tools and software.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage teams and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in labor management and conflict resolution.
• Familiarity with luxury construction elements and interior fit-outs.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and project scheduling tools.
• Understanding of sustainable building practices.
