Safety Officer

Job Description

• Training and overseeing workers on safety procedures and practices to prevent injuries or accidents
• Coordinating first aid treatment and medical evacuation in cases of serious injury or illness
• Inspecting the site for potential hazards that may cause harm to people or damage to property
• Maintaining accurate records of accident data and near-miss incidents, which can be used to identify problem areas and create solutions
• Conducting regular check-ups on equipment such as lifts, cranes, scaffolding, and electrical equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safe to use
• Providing first aid treatment to injured workers, using knowledge of medical terminology, bandaging techniques, and other basic medical procedures
• Monitoring the work environment to ensure that safety standards are met by workers and contractors
• Reviewing safety procedures and equipment to ensure that they are adequate for the task at hand
• Conducting training sessions on site safety and providing feedback on performance

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3-8 years’ experience in safety management on construction sites
• ADIS under MSBTE and Diploma /B.E/B.Tech ( Engineering Education )
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
