Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets and market penetration objectives.
- Define and implement sales processes and methodologies, including lead generation, qualification, and closure.
- Build and manage a high-performing sales team, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key MFDs across India.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to MFDs and other key stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close deals with MFDs, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Sales Reporting & Analytics:
- Track key sales metrics, analyze sales performance data, and generate regular sales reports.
- Utilize CRM and other sales tools to monitor sales activities, track leads, and manage customer relationships.
- Prepare forecasts and KPI reporting for the CEO and CFO for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, and budget setting.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices.
Manage and mitigate sales-related risks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of proven success in sales leadership roles within the Indian mutual fund industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian mutual fund industry, including regulatory landscape, distribution channels, and competitive dynamics.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building high-performing sales teams.
- Analytical & Quantitative Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and develop data-driven sales strategies.
- Leadership & Management: Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management skills.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software, sales automation tools, and other relevant technologies.
