MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Planning:
   
• Develop and review MEP system designs for building infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with local regulations.
• Perform calculations for load estimations, energy usage, and system capacity.
• Select equipment and materials for MEP systems based on project requirements.
2. Project Coordination and Supervision:
   
• Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with other building components.
• Supervise MEP construction activities to ensure proper installation and adherence to design specifications.
• Perform site visits to monitor progress and resolve any issues related to MEP systems.
3. System Integration and Testing:
   
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring that systems function optimally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction and post-installation phases.
4. Compliance and Quality Control:
   
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, industry standards, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify the quality of MEP installations.
5. Maintenance and Upgrades:
   
• Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance and potential upgrades for MEP systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
6. Budget and Time Management:
   
• Assist in estimating project costs for MEP systems, tracking project budgets, and ensuring timely project delivery.
• Provide progress reports to management regarding schedule, cost, and quality.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in building construction and/or infrastructure projects.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or similar certification is a plus.
• Skills:
• Proficient in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
