Safety Engineer ( Real Estate)

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Planning and Risk Assessment:
• Conduct thorough safety audits and risk assessments on construction sites.
• Identify potential hazards and propose risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety plans and protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA, local, and industry regulations.
• Safety Training and Awareness:
• Organize and conduct safety training programs for workers, supervisors, and contractors.
• Ensure that workers are properly trained in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), machinery, and safety procedures.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging workers and management in regular safety discussions and feedback loops.
• Site Inspections and Monitoring:
• Regularly inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to prevent unsafe practices and immediately address any violations.
• Conduct periodic emergency drills, including fire, evacuation, and first aid procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay up to date with all relevant safety regulations, codes, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ANSI).
• Ensure that all construction activities are in full compliance with legal requirements and company safety policies.
• Assist in preparing reports for government agencies, clients, and upper management to demonstrate safety compliance.
• Accident Investigation and Reporting:
• Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, or near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and safety training activities.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure safety considerations are integrated into the project design and execution stages.
• Provide technical safety guidance and support to field teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Develop safety-related documentation, including site-specific safety plans, hazard analyses, and progress reports.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously review safety procedures and practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Implement best practices in safety management and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
