QC Engineer- Civil

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance and Control:
   
• Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of construction materials and work performed by contractors.
• Implement and monitor quality control systems, procedures, and standards for all construction activities.
• Perform material testing and monitor compliance with design specifications and relevant standards.
• Review construction documentation and drawings for quality assurance.
2. Project Support:
   
• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Identify potential quality issues early in the construction process and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Review and approve quality control reports and assessments.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
   
• Maintain and track detailed records of quality control inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit detailed quality control reports to the management team.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
4. Compliance and Standards:
   
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations and safety standards.
• Ensure that construction practices meet environmental and sustainability standards.
• Verify that all materials used meet the required industry standards and are sourced from reputable suppliers.
5. Continuous Improvement:
   
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in quality control processes.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess quality control successes and areas for improvement.
• Lead training sessions on quality control best practices for project staff and contractors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in quality control or construction engineering within the real estate or construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
• Certification in Quality Management or Quality Control (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
