Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing (3-7 yrs)

Role Overview :

As an SDET , you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts for our desktop applications. You will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure the quality of our products by writing, executing, and debugging automated tests.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using C# for desktop applications.

- Create and manage test scenarios, scripts, and test data for Selenium-based automation testing.

- Utilize SpecFlow to write BDD (Behavior Driven Development) style tests.

- Identify, debug, and troubleshoot software defects, providing detailed reports for development teams.

- Execute automated tests and provide comprehensive feedback on issues found during testing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.

- Maintain and enhance the existing test framework and automation infrastructure.

- Continuously explore new tools, techniques, and processes to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong proficiency in C# programming for test automation.

- Hands-on experience with Selenium for automating desktop and web-based applications.

- Practical experience in writing SpecFlow tests for BDD.

- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience with desktop applications testing, including UI and functional testing.

- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.

- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
