Job Description :

As a Database Automation Engineer at Natobotics, you will be responsible for automating database tasks, improving efficiency, and ensuring data integrity. You will work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and developers to streamline database operations and enhance overall system performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement automation scripts using Perl, Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine database tasks, such as backups, restores, schema changes, and data migrations.

- Utilize automation tools to streamline database provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.

- Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target databases.

- Utilize PL/SQL, REST APIs, and other relevant technologies to create efficient and reliable ETL pipelines.

- Participate in database design and modeling activities, ensuring optimal database performance and scalability.

- Create and maintain data models, ER diagrams, and data flow diagrams.

- Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize query performance and reduce response times.

- Integrate database automation tasks into CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient deployments.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate database provisioning and configuration.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in database administration and automation.

- Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell).

- Experience with ETL tools and techniques.

- Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling.

- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
