Automation Engineer - Ansible Playbook (6-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Skills Required :

- Ansible : Hands-on experience in creating and debugging Ansible playbooks.

- Perl/Python : Proficiency in Perl or Python to convert requirements into executable code.

- Bash/Shell Scripting : Experience in bash/shell scripting is an added advantage.

- Source Code Management : Hands-on experience and understanding of either SVN or Git for version control.

- Unix/Linux Operating Systems : Proficient in any Unix/Linux based operating system.

- Linux Commands : Hands-on experience with basic Linux commands.

Additional Skills and Knowledge :

- Knowledge of Kubernetes or Azure cloud services is an added advantage.

- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes through Azure DevOps.

- Knowledge of any load balancer technology is an added advantage.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience :

- Proven experience in scripting, source code management, and Unix/Linux operating systems.

- Previous experience in automation engineering or a related role is preferred.

Role & Responsibilities :

System Design and Development :

- Develop automated systems and software for various processes.

- Design and create testing protocols to ensure the reliability of automation systems.

- Use programming languages and tools to write and maintain code for automation.

Implementation and Integration :

- Integrate automation systems with existing technology.

- Install and configure automation equipment and systems.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting :

- Monitor automated systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.

- Diagnose and repair issues with automation systems.

- Perform regular maintenance to prevent system failures.

Process Improvement :

- Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement.

- Develop strategies to enhance the efficiency and performance of automated systems.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Document the design, development, and implementation of automation systems.

- Create user manuals and guidelines for end-users.

- Prepare reports on system performance and suggest improvements.
