Sr. Technical profile in Steel Industry

Role & responsibilities

1.Technical Leadership:

Lead and manage the technical department, ensuring alignment with the plants strategic objectives.

- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of technical projects to improve plant operations and efficiency.

2. Process Optimization:

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize steel production processes, improve yield, and reduce costs.

- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

3. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.

- Collaborate with quality control teams to implement robust quality management systems.

4. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

- Promote a culture of safety within the technical team and across the plant.

5. Project Management:

- Manage large-scale technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

- Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders like consultants, vendors etc to ensure project success.

6. Team Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

7. Innovation and Technology:

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in steel manufacturing technology and integrate relevant innovations into plant operations.

- Drive initiatives for digital transformation and Industry 4.0 adoption.

8. Budget Management:

- Develop and manage the technical departments budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures.

9. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with senior management, production teams, and external partners to achieve strategic goals.

- Represent the technical department in meetings with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
