Design Head - Hydraulic Machinery - Construction Equipment (25-30 yrs)

Responsible for the effective development and delivery of product designs as per customer requirements while ensuring cost efficiency, operational excellence, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Objectives:

- Identify cost-effective design tools and procedures to support cost reduction.

- Ensure effective working capital management through optimized product design.

Operational Objectives:

- Implement and manage value engineering initiatives to improve product efficiency.

- Plan and monitor design capacity to meet market demands.

- Evaluate and adopt external technologies, customizing them for local customer needs.

- Continuously review and upgrade design processes to align with evolving technologies.

- Analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements and value addition.

- Coordinate with manufacturing and servicing teams for efficient and cost-effective output.

- Introduce reliability engineering concepts to ensure defect-free designs.

- Maintain and upgrade the design data bank to align with global standards.

- Ensure compliance with ISO: 9001 requirements.

People Management:

- Contribute to the development plans for team members and assess training effectiveness.

- Allocate manpower optimally and ensure the team is trained on updated technologies and procedures."
