Purchase Manager - Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Business (15-20 yrs)

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.

- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation to supplier relationship management.

- Oversee procurement of plant consumables, project engineering materials, and imports.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.

- Leverage SAP MM (Purchase Module) for process optimization and performance monitoring.

- Cultivate and maintain a strong network of domestic and international suppliers.

- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEZ norms.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Lead and mentor the procurement team.

- Manage Capex and Opex procurement.

Qualifications:

- 15+ years of experience in procurement within the Pharma API industry.

- Strong proficiency in SAP MM (Purchase Module).

- Proven track record in vendor development and management.

- Experience managing greenfield projects in the API sector.

- Deep understanding of SEZ norms.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

- Engineering background preferred, MBA in Supply Chain Management a plus.
