General Manager/Head - Indirect Purchase/Capex - Manufacturing Industry (15-20 yrs)

Job Responsibilities :

1. Procurement of Capex and storage of Spares/ Indirect consumables as per planned requirement

2. Material receiving and issue online as per production plan and addressing purchase issues to minimize delay.

3. Cost effective modules and regular updates to management for inventory level, perpetual inventory for production.

4.Key supplier management and performance evaluation

5. Alternate vendor management for mechanical parts

6. Monitoring purchase processes timely completion of requirement within budget.

7. Ensuring requisite availability of material, manpower and equipment.

8. Compliance of material planning and procurement rules, considering Environmental compliances as well.

9.Strategic Negotiation with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and maintaining quality

10. Monitoring and approval of parts and services as per purchase terms

11. Performing risk assessment on potential contracts with suppliers.

12. Preparing budget: Revenue and Capital

Competencies / Skills

Functional/Technical:

Education - BE Mechanical ( Preferred )

1. Hands on experience in Indirect Procurement , Project Automation / Logistics Management

2. Material Layout planning & FIFO knowledge

3. Process Skills: Material handling while receiving and issuing.

4. Sound knowledge of material requirement planning and related software's - SAP

5. In depth knowledge of preparing & reviewing contracts, invoicing and negotiation terms.

6. Manpower management skill.

7. knowledge of Machine maintenance

Behavioral:
