Chief Designer

Job Role: Chief Designer

The Chief Designer will lead and oversee the entire design process at CustomFurnish, ensuring that the design team's output aligns with the companys vision for innovative, client-focused, and high-quality interior solutions. This role requires strategic leadership, creativity, and exceptional client interaction skills to deliver designs that exceed customer expectations while managing resources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
• Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to enhance the team’s productivity and design quality.
• Recruit, train, and onboard new designers to ensure alignment with the company’s design philosophy and standards.

2. Design Process Oversight

• Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept development to final execution, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of quality.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows for design projects, minimizing errors and optimizing productivity.
• Conduct regular design reviews and approvals, ensuring each project aligns with client requirements and company standards.

3. Client Interaction & Customization

• Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions.
• Lead client meetings and presentations to communicate design ideas, progress, and final concepts effectively.
• Handle escalations and special requests from clients, ensuring their satisfaction and trust in the design process.

4. Project Coordination

• Collaborate with other departments (sales, production, and installation teams) to ensure seamless execution of designs.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with project requirements.
• Ensure all designs are compatible with budget constraints, manufacturing capabilities, and installation timelines.

5. Innovation & Trend Integration

• Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in modular furniture and interiors.
• Introduce innovative concepts and solutions to keep the company’s offerings fresh, competitive, and appealing to clients.
• Drive sustainability in designs by integrating eco-friendly materials and practices.

6. Quality Assurance

• Ensure that all design deliverables meet company standards for quality, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Implement processes for client feedback and post-project reviews to continuously improve the design process.

7. Reporting & Strategy

• Prepare regular reports for senior management on team performance, client satisfaction, and design efficiency.
• Contribute to strategic decisions regarding product offerings, market positioning, and client acquisition strategies.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in interior design with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and VR tools.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of designers.
• Customer Focus: Ability to understand client needs and translate them into innovative, practical designs.
