Sales Consultant with Interior Design Experience

Location: Hyderabad, India

Position Overview
CustomFurnish is looking for a talented and customer-focused Sales Consultant with Interior Design Expertise to join our team. This role combines sales acumen with design knowledge to provide clients with an exceptional furniture-buying experience. The ideal candidate will guide customers through the process of customizing furniture, ensuring their unique needs are met while showcasing expertise in interior design.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Engagement and Design Consultation
    • Approach potential customers and introduce CustomFurnishs unique offerings, emphasizing the value of customized furniture.
    • Conduct consultations to understand clients space, lifestyle, and design preferences, offering creative design insights to align with their vision.
  2. Design Collaboration and Product Demonstration
    • Leverage interior design expertise to recommend furniture layouts, styles, and materials tailored to clients’ spaces.
    • Showcase CustomFurnish’s design portfolio, materials, finishes, and colors while highlighting the benefits of modular and custom furniture.
    • Use design software or tools to provide preliminary visualizations or concepts to clients.
  3. Sales Process and Conversion
    • Present CustomFurnish solutions persuasively, addressing design and functionality questions to build confidence and close sales.
    • Explain the step-by-step process from design to delivery, ensuring transparency and trust in the client journey.
  4. Order Coordination and Finalization
    • Collaborate with the design team to refine and finalize furniture designs based on client preferences.
    • Assist customers through design approval, order placement, and payment processing, ensuring a smooth transition.
  5. Customer Relationship Management
    • Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure clients are updated throughout the design and delivery process.
    • Build lasting relationships with clients by offering exceptional customer service, encouraging referrals, and fostering repeat business.
  6. Team Collaboration and Market Insights
    • Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and met.
    • Provide feedback from customer interactions to improve product offerings, marketing strategies, and overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 1-3 years in a combined sales and interior design role or related fields within the furniture or interior design industry.
  • Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of interior design principles, modular furniture, space planning, and material selection.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to close sales through a consultative approach, with a focus on meeting client needs and achieving targets.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage clients, build rapport, and explain design concepts clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) is a plus.
  • Customer-Centric: Passion for delivering personalized, high-quality experiences for every client.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple clients, follow-ups, and deadlines effectively.
