Role Overview: The Student Experience Officer will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that enhance the student experience from admission through graduation. This role involves collaborating with various departments, supporting student engagement, and ensuring that students have access to resources that promote their academic success, personal development, and well-being.

Key Deliverables:

• Develop and implement programs and events that foster a sense of community and belonging among students.
• Support student organizations and activities by providing guidance, resources, and leadership development opportunities.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to promote student involvement in co-curricular activities.
• Act as a primary point of contact for students, providing guidance and support on academic, social, and personal matters.
• Work closely with student services, counseling, and academic advising to ensure students have access to necessary resources.
• Monitor student satisfaction and address concerns related to the overall student experience.
• Coordinate orientation programs for new students, ensuring a smooth transition to the institution.
• Develop and manage ongoing programs to support students throughout their academic journey, including first-year experience initiatives.
• Develop strategies to improve student retention and success rates, particularly for at-risk student populations.
• Analyze data related to student engagement, retention, and satisfaction to inform program development and improvements.
• Collaborate with academic departments to identify and support students who may be struggling academically.
• Maintain regular communication with students through various channels, including email, social media, and in-person events.
• Develop and disseminate information about campus resources, events, and opportunities to students.
• Create and maintain content for student-focused newsletters, websites, and other communication platforms.
• Plan and execute campus-wide events such as welcome weeks, student fairs, and recognition ceremonies.
• Work with vendors, campus facilities, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
• Assess the effectiveness of events and programs through student feedback and participation metrics.
• Promote an inclusive campus environment by supporting initiatives that celebrate diversity and foster equity among all student populations.
• Collaborate with campus diversity offices and student groups to support multicultural programming and awareness.

Required Qualification & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in student affairs, student services, or a related field.
• Experience in program development, event planning, and student engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Proficiency in using student information systems and other relevant software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
