Lead Data Engineer

**Role**

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our software

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

Ensure the final product is highly performant, responsive, and of the highest quality

Actively participate in agile ceremonies including daily scrum, story pointing, story elaboration, and retrospectives

Lead/Mentor Junior and new team members with maintaning continuos dialouge with Business/Product/Other Engineering teams.

**All about you/Experience **

• A seasoned Big Data developer either with cloud or on-prem distributions Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java or Scala
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Extensive experience with Spark Processing engine
• Relational Databases (eg MySql, Postgres) as we'll as NoSQL experience Good Handle on Big data tools / technologies/ Streaming (Hive, Impala, OOZIE, Airflow, NIFI, Kafka)
• Basic Shell scripting and knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Experience in designing & developing software at scale
• Working Knowledge in Software Development engineering Paradigms along with Data Engineering
