Control Room Operator (DRI)

Role & responsibilities

The job purpose of Control Room Operator is to monitor and control kiln operations in a Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant through real-time data and equipment control, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and adherence to production targets.

• Continuously monitor process parameters through the control system and adjust settings to maintain optimal kiln performance.
• Communicate effectively with field operators to address abnormalities and synchronize kiln operations.
• Respond promptly to alarms, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards to prevent accidents and maintain regulatory compliance.
